Zenith fue fundada en el año 1865 por parte de Georges Favre-Jacot, cuando este tenía solamente 22 años.
Desde entonces, ha sido la primera marca de relojería suiza en encarnar la idea de manufactura en su totalidad. Esto, porque Favre-Jacot soñaba con unificar el proceso de producción de un reloj, desarrollando la totalidad de las piezas en un propio taller.
