Description
La empresa de relojería adoptaba el nombre de Zenith en el año 1911. Ello, siendo sinónimo de excelencia, con un nombre que hacía referencia directa al punto más alto de un cuerpo celeste. Pero el éxito no estuvo relacionado sólo con el nombre sino que, además, la marca logró armarse un lugar de gran relevancia en la historia de la relojería mundial.
A lo largo de su historia, Zenith ha alcanzado diversos premios de relojería, a la vez que ha superado las 300 patentes. Un punto importante en su historia apareció en 1948, cuando lanzó su calibre de carga manual para cronógrafo 135, con 30 mm de diámetro, para montarse en relojes de pulsera. Este reloj obtuvo más de 200 reconocimientos.
Ya hacia 1969, Zenith creaba su movimiento más famoso: el Primero. Parte de su fama tuvo que ver con que fue el primer movimiento automático diseñado para un cronógrafo. En muy poco tiempo, esta innovación se extendía entre los aficionados a la relojería. Aún hoy, este movimiento es considerado como una de las más grandes creaciones de la industria relojera en la historia.
