Description
TAG Heuer fue fundada en el año 1860 por parte de Edouard Heuer en la región Juna, En Suiza. Uno de sus momentos más importantes ocurrió en 1911, cuando se diseñó el primer cronógrafo de abordo, que fue pensado especialmente para salpicaderos de automóviles y también para la industria de la aviación y conocido como Time of Trip.
Desde ese momento, la producción de la marca se focalizó en cronógrafos. Así, en 1915, TAG Heuer presentaba el primer cronógrafo de muñeca. Estas invenciones le valieron a la marca ser elegida como el cronometrador oficial de los Juegos Olímpicos de Amberes, París y Ámsterdam. Esto le valió a la marca gran parte de la fama que sostiene hasta la actualidad.
Luego de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la marca se especializó en producir instrumentos para cronometrar competiciones deportivas, mayormente de vehículos de motor como es el caso de la Fórmula 1. Con el paso del tiempo, la marca fue llegando también al público en general y produciendo nuevos modelos, siendo hoy una de las marcas más importantes del mundo.
