La Historia de Cartier
En 1847 Louis-François Cartier fundó Cartier en París y desde su inicio, la marca destinaría sus productos a la clase más alta de la sociedad. Pero, no sería hasta décadas más tarde cuando su hijo Alfred Cartier y sus nietos: Louis, Pierre y Jacques administrarían el negocio y expandirían la marca a nivel mundial.
Una vez establecidos, Cartier se convertiría en uno de los favoritos de la realeza europea, se centraría en la producción de relojes y sería nombrado como “rey de joyeros, joyero de reyes”. En 1904, avanzarían un gran paso dentro del sector de la relojería gracias al brasileño Alberto Santos Dumont, para quien diseñarían el primer reloj aviador del mundo con caja y bisel cuadrados. Con éste inaugurarían la estética característica de iconos como el Cartier Santos.
A este último, le seguiría el Tortue (1912), el Tank (1919) y otras creaciones más modernas como el Pasha, Santos 100, Ballon Bleu y Calibre. La familia Cartier regentaría la marca hasta 1964, cosechando éxitos como la presentación del Tank tras la Primera Guerra Mundial y la permanencia de su elegancia atemporal en décadas posteriores. Hoy en día, forma parte del Grupo Richemont y su popularidad no ha dejado de ir en aumento.
